Chris Pitt Hope Tribute Fund

Chris was a lively, funny, kind person who had gained a place to study medicine in London but sadly died at the age of 19 before he could take it up. The most important thing to him was his Christian faith and he died with the sure knowledge that he would go to be with his Lord forever. He handled his treatment and terminal diagnosis with amazing strength and kept his sense of humour until he died. He was a good friend and a wonderful son. He is much missed by all who knew him.

As we grieve the death of Ron, we remember how important he was to Chris, as a friend, mentor and youth leader. So many great memories of holidays together and weeks at the Keswick Convention. They are now both rejoicing in the presence of their Saviour. Lots of love

At the time of Chris's anniversary and birthday, we just want to remember the kind, caring doctors and nurses on the YOU and HTU (as they were then), who looked after Chris and us so well in those difficult days. We thank God, too, for His continued love, comfort and strength to us as we still miss our beloved Chris but are reminded of the hope of eternity.

On the 10th anniversary of our beloved Chris’s death we are remembering him with a mixture of joyful memories and sadness. We miss him every day but we are so thankful for all the kind messages we have received from those who remember his humour, compassion and lovely smile! Our faith in a sovereign, merciful, good God sustains us. He is our ongoing rock and refuge.
